One of our new fiction selections for September is A Lesson in Hope, by Philip Gulley. Mr.
Gulley is a Quaker writer and speaker who has published more than twenty books,
including the Hope series (A Lesson in Hope is the second in that
series) and the popular Harmony
series. If you’re a fan of novels about small towns, or enjoy the writing of
authors like Jan Karon and Garrison Keillor, you might want to give his books a
try. Some suggestions include not only A
Lesson in Hope, but also A Place
Called Hope (the first book in the Hope
series), Home to Harmony (the first
book in the Harmony series), and the
nonfiction Front Porch Tales.
