Something New and Different

Everyone knows that librarians spend a lot of their free time reading. But did you ever wonder what we read, or what our favorite movies or TV shows might be? We’ll be giving you a glimpse of some answers to this question as we begin something new and include staff recommendation selections as part of our lobby book display. Each staff member’s selection will have a card taped to it, letting you know who recommended the book, DVD, etc. If something interests you, just bring it to the front desk as you usually would, and we’ll do the rest. Even though the calendar says that it’s still summer, the arrival of September marks the unofficial end of summer for many of us. If you feel this way at times, then “gentle reads” are for you! Stop by the library and take a look at our new book display, which contains gentle reads in different categories, including mystery and romance. Authors whose books are on display include Maeve Binchy, Jennifer Chiaverini, Diane Mott Davidson, Philip Gulley and Kim Vogel Sawyer.
